Introduction

Mount Everest(Sagarmatha) lies in Nepal and Tibet border. From Nepal side, its lies in Solukhumbu district of Nepal. From recent measurement by Nepalese & Chinese authorities, its elevation is 8848.86m (29,031 ft. 8+12 in) from the sea level, however its base camp is 5364m(17598ft.)

The survey was done by East India Company British, they start trigonometric survey for mapping the peaks, they give trainings to some Indian people, from the border of  Darjeeling, they measure first peak now named as Kanchenjunga was highest in that time, but later they found peak XV was highest, however they name Everest, because these survey was begin British officer George Everest, they put name Everest, at that time, Nepal was not open for any foreigners, In Nepali language Everest is called  Sagarmatha which means head of god, Nepal was religious country, most people believe in Hinduism, in holy book there is written high mountain are home of god, so people worship mountains as God in Nepal. For the first time, Nepal was open for tourist, The 1950 French Annapurna expedition, led by Maurice Herzog reached the summit of Annapurna I at 8091m. After this in 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary & Sherpa mountaineer  Tenzing Norgay reached the summit of Everest for first time. This how tourism gets attention & begin in Nepal.

Day1:Arrival at TIA & transfer to hotel,1300m/4265ft

Arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, Nepal, at 1300m through custom department you will come out to exit gate, our representative will standby with your name tag in white board, we will get recognised by your hand up, he/she will greet you, then along with him/her, you will get transferred to the Thamel area in the 3 Star hotel with good take care, comfortable environment, hospitality and services. After resting for some time, we will call in your room for further discussion. Whenever you get ready, team will be waiting down in the hotel’s lobby. We will start our general meeting & introduction with the Guide of our team.

Day2: Fly to Lukla 2840m(9317ft), trek to Phakding 2610m(8563ft)

We check-in airport as per our flight schedule to Lukla,30 mins flight from Kathmandu, we will land at Tenzing Hillary airport, our supporter team will be waiting for us there in airport, we will check-in small lodge for breakfast & we make our bag pack ready for trek. From Lukla we trek downhill at beginning & then uphill trail for 3-4 hours to reach Phakding & overnight there in tea house.

Day3: Phakding to Namche Bazar,3400m(11286ft)

Next day we are heading Namche Bazar, in this day we trek around 7-8 hours uphill, crossing small bridges, Before Jorsale (2740m), we checked in Sagarmatha National Park, we buy entry permit and move forward, stay-overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day4: Namche Bazar to Syangboche, 3720m(12201ft)

We have a rest day at Namche Bazar, for acclimatization we hike uphill to Syangboche (3720m), we will visit Sagarmatha Next, and Everest View Hotel on top, we can see a lot mountain ranges from top and then we can later visit museum at Namche Bazar & stay-overnight there. This takes us 6 hours.

Day5: Namche to Tengboche, 3860m(12664ft)

Another day after breakfast from the hotel ,we start our trek to Tengboche. We trek uphill, downhill, passing village, see mountains side by side. This takes us 4-5 hours trek. We will visit Monastery there, in night we can see stars, stay overnight in Tengboche. Sometimes , we have stay at Debouche too. It takes us  another 35 mins.

Day6: Tengboche to Dingboche 4410m(14468ft)

Next day we wake up, have breakfast, make our bag pack ready, we move forward to Dingboche. This takes 6-7 hours trek & stay-overnight at Dingboche.

Day7: Rest day and Visit Nangkartshang Peak (5616m) base

We wake up and have breakfast ,we hike uphill, we will reach above 5000m height for acclimatization and back to hotel , enjoy our rest day there !! This takes us 2-3 hours.

Day8: Dingboche to Lobuche 4910m(16,109ft)

In this day, we wake up early and have breakfast, we start our trek uphill and straight way and again uphill to Thukla (Dughla) pass at 4830m and then to Lobuche and stay-overnight there. This takes us 4-5 hours.

Day9: Lobuche to Gorakshep 5140m(16863 ft.) to Everest Base Camp 5364m(17598ft)

This day is challenged day for us, we will reach Everest Base Camp, this trail is uphill & we walk in glacier doom after 3 hours of trek we reach Gorakshep, we will check-in to small lodges there and move to EBC and back to Gorakshep, have a rest day there. This takes us 6-7 hours to trek.

Day10: Kala Pattar 5550m(18204ft.) to Pheriche 4240m(13911 ft.) to Pangboche 3930m(12890.4ft.)

We wake up early in morning and start our hike to Kalapattar, to see the best view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and so on. Back to Gorakshep, have breakfast and move to Pheriche and to Pangboche. This takes us 8-9 hrs.

Day 11: Pangboche to Namche 3400m(11286ft) via Phortse

This day we wake up and have breakfast, head toward Phortse village, in this trail we have chance to see the animals like Himalayan thar. We choose different trail for new experiences, after Phortse village we hike uphill & reach Mongala hill, from there we will move toward Namche Bazar.

Day 12: Namche to Lukla 2840m(9317ft)

We almost finished our trek, we woke up, had breakfast & moved downhill towards Lukla & stay-overnight there.

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu 1300m/4265ft

We fly back to Kathmandu, probably morning flight , transfer to hotel and have relaxed day, can visit good Spa and we have a wonderful farewell dinner together with cultural dance and food .

Day 14: Special Kathmandu Tour

Next day our tour guide will come to pickup you and in private vehicle we take you special place inside Kathmandu Valley. You have options to choose the place you want to visit.

Day 15: Departure from TIA

Finally our trip is over, you joined in our family Acme Adventure Treks, we learned many things, you take the memories, good times and sometimes bad times. You write reviews and suggestions for us. We’re gonna miss you.

  • All types of transportations as needed in itinerary like airport shuttle, flights and private  jeep or same types vehicles for the treks.
  • In cities, especially in Kathmandu and Pokhara, the accommodation will be 3 star category or higher as per requirement with the breakfast.
  • For the trek, there are small tea houses & lodges for accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner and fruits.

Cost Excluded for Everest Base Camp Trip

  •  International airfare.
  •  Nepal visa fee and Insurance that need to cover rescue in the emergency   while in treks, cause trekking is adventure activities.
  • Meals other than breakfast in Kathmandu & Pokhara.
  • Optional activities (e.g., paragliding) not mentioned in the itinerary.
  •  WIFI, Hot water, Hot shower and charging devices in the trek because of the     lack of electricity in that place, cost is for solar energy.
  • Personal expenses and tips, that represent the culture values especially for our staff that they work day, night to make the trip memorable and unforgettable.
